Red Wine Capsules: Can You Pop the Benefits Instead of Drink Them?

In the early 1990s, a study introduced the “French Paradox” to the international lexicon. This paradox was this: how could French people, who love their cheese and fatty, saucy foods, have a low incidence of heart issues? This study found that nearly all French people drink at least one glass of red wine daily from a very early age. That was the key.

This study focused its gaze on what was in red wine to see exactly what was going on. Eventually, the scientists discovered an antioxidant called resveratrol in the wine. After studying it for some time, the scientists determined that resveratrol was the mystery compnonent. Resveratrol has since been found to be an age- and cancer-fighter and also helps to keep arteries cleaned out, which helps prevent strokes. Resveratrol also reduces the chances of the consumer developing coronary heart disease and ulcers. As an added bonus, so to speak, resveratrol also helps fight ovarian cancer, osteoporosis, and strokes in women. For the guys, it helps with heart attacks due to high blood pressure.

While it isn’t a magical cure-all or wonder drug, resveratrol is very good for you. So much so, in fact, that there are quite a few companies out there that have begun making red wine capsules. If you want the healing effects of resveratrol but can’t or simply don’t drink red wine, try some red wine capsules.

Do exercise good judgment when buying red wine capsules, however. Many of these capsules do not have as much resveratrol in them as you might assume. All of the companies that make them will make varius claims about their products, but make sure you look at the contents before buying and make sure that each capsule has at least 100 mg of resveratrol.

Red wine capsules are by no means bad for you, but you obviously want to get what you pay for. Don’t let any modern-day snake oil salesman fool you – resveratrol is what you want a lot of in your capsules. Otherwise, you are just wasting your money on something that will do little or nothing for you.

If you want your resveratrol but don’t like the taste of red wine or can’t drink it because of a medical condition, look into getting some red wine capsules. They can give you all the beneficial effects of red wineand you don’t have to to drink a single drop! There are a few companies out there, however, that are taking short cuts in producing these capsules. If you don’t pay attention, you might get something with just 2-3 mg per capsule, which is virtually nothing. You really need is 100 mg, so don’t stop until you find the right one!
